　　受產品同質化速度加快、價格競爭加劇、產品生命周期短縮以及當下的去產能、去庫存、去杠桿等因素的影響，儀器儀表行業之間的競爭越來越激烈，一著不慎就可能滿盤皆輸。2017年，我國儀器儀表制造業規模以上數達到4358家，其中有497家企業出現虧損，虧損企業平均虧損金額達到734.4萬元。

　　目前，不少的國內外廠商已經越來越重視智能化儀表發展，建設了自動化生產線，產品技術朝著微型化、多功能化、人工智能化、虛擬化等方向發展。在生產方式上，泉州已經建設數字化生產線130條，完成生產銷售國產機器人1160臺，推廣應用國產數控系統5340套，打造了嘉華機器人自動上下料及3C鉆攻中心生產線、3條智能制造示范生產線；國網浙江省電力公司電力科學研究院成功研制了電能表智能檢定系統，項目實施后，電能表檢定效率提升58倍，檢定人員減少90%以上，運營成本降低50%；艾默生推出了適用于科里奧利流量計和電磁流量計的新版智能儀表自校驗軟件。該軟件可根據需求提供流量計校驗，讓過程工程師、技術人員和操作人員能基于當下行業先進儀表和過程診斷工具，關注儀表以外的事項并做出實時決策。
