水銀溫度計是膨脹式溫度計的一種，水銀的冰點是:-39℃,沸點是:356.7℃,用來測量0--150℃或500℃以內范圍的溫度，它只能作為就地監督的儀表。用它來測量溫度，不僅比較簡單直觀，而且還可以避免外部遠傳溫度計的誤差。
Mercury thermometer is a kind of expansive thermometer.The freezing point of mercury is-39 C and the boiling point is 356.7 C.It is used to measure the temperature in the range of 0-150 C or 500 C.It can only be used as an instrument for in-situ monitoring.Using it to measure temperature is not only simple and intuitive,but also can avoid the error of external teletransmission thermometer.
以下是水銀溫度計的使用方法：首先要看清它的量程（測量范圍），然后看清它的最小分度值，也就是每一小格所表示的值。要選擇適當的溫度計測量被測物體的溫度。測量時溫度計的液泡應與被測物體充分接觸，且玻璃泡不能碰到被測物體的側壁或底部；讀數是，溫度計不要離開被測物體，且眼睛的視線應與溫度計內的液面相平。
The following is the use of mercury thermometer:first,we need to see its range(measurement range),and then we can see its minimum indexing value,that is,the value represented by each cell.Choose the appropriate thermometer to measure the temperature of the object under test.When measuring,the bubbles of the thermometer should be in full contact with the object under test,and the glass bubbles can not touch the side wall or bottom of the object under test;the reading is that the thermometer should not leave the object under test,and the eyes should be equal to the liquid level in the thermometer.
1、使用前應進行校驗(可以采用標準液溫多支比較法進行校驗或采用精度更高級的溫度計校驗)。

2、不允許使用溫度超過該種溫度計的最大刻度值的測量值。
